  Internationaler Schulkongress ´Energieeffizienz in Schulen´ / International school congress ´Energy efficiency in schools´

Commencement 07.10.2010.
Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Schüler, Lehrer, Entscheidungsträger und Multiplikatoren in Deutschland und Europa. Sie dient dem Erfahrungsaustausch über gute Ansätze zu Energieeffizienz und erneuerbaren Energien in Schulen. Sie ist gleichzeitig die Abschlussveranstaltung des Europäischen Projekts Energy – Education – Governance – Schools (EGS). Programm am Donnerstag: In Vorträgen werden die wichtigsten Ergebnisse des EGS-Projekts vorgestellt. In Workshops sowie auf dem Markt der Möglichkeiten werden Schulen aus ganz Europa ihre Aktivitäten zur Förderung der Energieeffizienz vorstellen und sich mit anderen Schulen austauschen. Programm am Freitag: Bei Exkursionen erhalten die Teilnehmer die Möglichkeit, Hot Spots der Energieeffizienz bzw. der erneuerbaren Energien in der Region kennen zu lernen. Im Rahmen einer öffentlichen Aktion soll schließlich die breite Bevölkerung auf das Thema Energie und Klimaschutz aufmerksam gemacht werden. 

  LEARNTEC 2008: ´Lernen 2.0´. Wege in die Zukunft

Die LEARNTEC thematisiert E-Learning, Blended Learning und Wissensprozesse in Unternehmen und Hochschulen aus technologischer, betrieblicher und didaktischer Sicht. Sie ist das Forum für die E-Learning Branche und die Wissenswirtschaft. Der diesjährige Kongress fokussiert zukunftsorientierte Fragestellungen und richtungsweisende Entwicklungstrends. Orientiert an den fünf zentralen Themenbereichen Geschäftsprozesse und Lernen, Technologie, Didaktik, Wissensmanagement und Spezielle Anwendungsfelder und Branchen greifen prominente Key-Note-Speaker an allen Veranstaltungstagen Grundsatzfragen auf und entwickeln Zukunftsszenarien. In thematisch geschlossenen Halbtagssektionen werden diese Fragestellungen von Experten aus dem In- und Ausland aufgegriffen und vertiefend behandelt.

  ECER 2009: ´Theory and Evidence in European Educational Research´

Private and public enterprises, national and international agencies provide a wealth of data and information about education systems and processes unknown to previous generations. Concepts like “evidence-based policy making”, “quality assurance”, “data-driven decision making”, and “evidence-based teaching” have played an important part in this development. The rapid spread of national and international testing systems is another sign of the ongoing transformation of the field.
At the same time there are numerous reports from different European countries that resources for independent university-based educational research have been declining, and that the opportunities for unsolicited, critical research have worsened. The decline appears to have particularly affected those areas long considered to be the corner-stones of the discipline - educational philosophy, history, general didactics, and other foundational subjects.
However, the changing environment is only one part of the story: There are good reasons to ask if those parts of the discipline which have dominated the field in the past did enough to provide the kind of information professionals, the public, politics, and society as a whole needed. But, likewise, we can ask if all the new data really produces ”evidence”, if there is a fundamental gap between the empirical wealth we have and the quality of the theoretical and methodological groundwork that underlies much of it. In other words, the rapid transformation of educational research provokes fundamental questions about the interplay between theory and research, data and evidence, and, not least, about the identity and coherence of educational research.
The European Conference on Educational Research (ECER) 2009 aims to evaluate and analyse the history and current state of educational research, and to discuss and develop further the relations between theory and evidence in the European educational research area.

  Learning, Teaching and Diversity. Biennial Meeting of EARLI SIG 15 Special Educational Needs

SIG 15 brings together researchers from across the globe who are involved in the study of Special Educational Needs at all levels (classroom, school and system), from first-graders to adults, for the purpose of meeting these challenges. Among its objectives, SIG 15 includes research to improve our understanding of the unique character of special educational needs as well as to improve learning and instruction in a range of settings: the classroom, the home, hospitals, institutions, wherever special education is available. In accordance with these objectives Learning, Teaching and Diversity was elected as general theme of the conference . 

  SIG Writing 2010 : 12th International Conference of the EARLI Special Interest Group on Writing

The aim of the SIG Writing conferences is to promote interaction among researchers (cognitive and social psychologists, linguists, educational and developmental specialists, and others) from all over the world who are interested in understanding the cognitive, social, and developmental processes involved in writing, who are concerned with designing writing instruction in various educational settings, or with exploring the functions of writing in different social and institutional contexts. 

  ´StudyWorld 2010´: 5. Internationale Messe für Studium, Praktikum und akademische Weiterbildung

Commencement 23.04.2010, 10.00 h.
Die internationale Hochschulmesse StudyWorld 2010 bietet Informationen aus erster Hand zu Bachelor- und Masterstudiengängen in Deutschland und weltweit, Praktika im Ausland, Förderungsmöglichkeiten sowie zahlreiche Anregungen zur Studien- und Karriereplanung. Zu den Ausstellern gehören u.a. staatliche und private Hochschulen aus aller Welt, Stipendien- und Förderinstitutionen, Studieninformations- und Beratungsdienste, Praktikumsvermittlungen, Austauschorganisationen und Stiftungen. Insgesamt werden 170 Aussteller aus 25 Ländern erwartet. Im Vortragsprogramm stehen über 70 Seminare und Präsentationen rund um Studium und Karriere zur Auswahl. Die Messe richtet sich an Schüler, Studenten, Absolventen und Berufstätige. 

  Symposium ´Bildung und Ökonomie in Europa - Schulen im Spannungsfeld von Staat und Markt´

Auszug aus dem Programm: I. Bildung als Dienstleistung - Europäisierung der Bildungsmärkte; II. Nachfrageorientierte Steuerung des Schulsystems; III. Wirtschaftliche Erwartungen an die Schulerziehung und das Verständnis der Pädagogik; IV. Podium: ´Schulische Organisationsformen zwischen Tradition und Innovation´. Für Beköstigung (Tagungsgetränke, Kaffeepause, Mittagessen im Gartensaal des Rathauses) und Tagungsmaterialien wird ein Kostenbeitrag in Höhe von 45,00 Euro (incl. 19 MwSt) erhoben. Um verbindliche Anmeldung wird gebeten. Anmeldeschluss ist der 27.01.2010. 

  Internationale Tagung 2010 ´Kultur- und Medienbildung im internationalen Vergleich´

Wie sieht in verschiedenen Ländern die außerschulische Kultur- und Medienbildung aus? Welche Programme, Projekte, Institutionen und Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten gibt es? Welche Bedeutung kommt der Kultur- und Medienbildung in der Gesellschaft zu? Die Tagung möchte einen Blick auf andere Länder und die dortige Situation der Kultur- und Medienbildung werfen. Ziel ist nicht ein systematischer geographischer Überblick, sondern ein Austausch von Erfahrungen und Ideen. Anregungen aus anderen Ländern und Kulturen könnten helfen, neue Wege zu beschreiten. Anmeldeschluss für diese Tagung ist der 30.06.2010. 

  19th Annual EFVET (European Forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training) Conference

In 2009 the European Commission launched the new Strategic Framework for Education and Training post Lisbon 2010. This Strategy framework sets the priorities for the Commission in promoting and stimulating Education and Training reforms over the next 5 to 10 years. The framework and priorities have been through a comprehensive review and consultation process with major stakeholders including EfVET and EUCIS- LLL – priorities have been set and work programmes established.

With this backdrop, Lifelong Learning and Vocational Education and Training remain the cornerstone of European policy – not only to implement current reforms but to improve vocational education and training / lifelong learning and embed these as the mechanism for realising Europe as a world wide leader in formulating a knowledge society.

Conference will provide a broad assessment of this Strategic framework and the contribution of VET institutions to make this objective a reality. It will consider how the priorities identified within the framework, and the tools associated with it, will support the development of Vocational Education and Training in Europe. It will provide an opportunity to explore how best we can bring about change and improvement; address the skills agenda; ensure we prepare our learners for their place within a highly skilled, innovative labour market and how we might move forward to make it even better.
