| Descrizione [de] | Civic-Edu ist eine bilaterale Initiative zur Förderung des Demokratieverständnisses und gesamteuropäischen Denkens. Das Projekt wird durch ein Team österreichischer und ungarischer Wissenschaftler/innen unter der Leitung von Michael Stanzer betreut. Michael Stanzer, Gründer der „Europäischen Civic Education Foundation“ in Budapest, ist politischer Bildner und hat bereits zahlreiche Aktionen im Bereich von Civic Education und Cultural Studies initiiert. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind: Rassismus und Fremdenfeindlichkeit, Migrationsgeschichte, Lebenslanges Lernen, Soziale Kompetenz, Bildungsentwicklung, Gehirnforschung und Politische Bildung, Demokratie und Pädagogik. Civic Education beinhaltet lebenslanges, soziales und multikulturelles Lernen. CE soll den Menschen befähigen, gesellschaftliche Strukturen, insbesondere deren tatsächliche Hintergründe und Zusammenhänge, zu erkennen. CE will helfen, Vorurteile abzubauen, tritt für die Menschenrechte sowie den Schutz der Natur ein, setzt sich insbesondere für die Belange Benachteiligter ein, und hat das Herbeiführen einer gerechten tragfähigen Friedensordnung zum Ziel. An österreichischen Schulen gilt Civic Education als integratives Unterrichtsprinzip „Politische Bildung“, das die Schüler zu eigenständigem verantwortungsbewusstem politischen Handeln befähigen soll, um an der Gestaltung der Gesellschaft teilhaben zu können. Rund 40 Autor/inn/en und Wissenschaftler/innen aus Österreich, Ungarn und Deutschland stellen laufend Beiträge ins Netz, gegliedert nach den Bereichen: Politik und Gesellschaft (Österreich, Ungarn, Europa, Global Village, Umwelt und Sozialpolitik, Religion und Ethik), Kultur und Bildung (Geschichte und Kulturwissenschaften, Lebenslanges Lernen, Philosophie und Psychologie, Sprache und Literatur, Kunst und Architektur, Wissenschaftsphilosophie und -forschung), interkulturelles Lernen (Minderheiten und Mehrheiten, Soziales Lernen und soziale Kompetenz, Zivilgesellschaft, NGO´s und Gender Studies) sowie Young Civic (Civic Education bei Kindern und Jugendlichen). Mit der am 13. Juni 2006 gegründeten “Europäischen Stiftung für Civic Education“ ergibt sich ein leichtes Abrücken von der ursprünglichen Konzeption eines österreichisch - ungarischen Bildungsservers. Ein Team bestehend aus Expert/inn/en in England, Deutschland, Österreich und Ungarn will damit ein gesamteuropäisches Projekt der Gesellschaftsgestaltung und Friedenserziehung initiieren. Wichtigste Anliegen dabei sind: die Umsetzung neuester Erkenntnisse aus Wissenschaft und Forschung für die „Politische Bildung“ in ganz Europa, die Kooperation mit Experten und Expertinnen und Pädagogen und Pädagoginnen sowie die Veranstaltung von Ausstellungen (z.B. „Alle verwandt, alle verschieden“) und Fortbildungen, mit Fokus auf die Entwicklung einer „Offenen Gesellschaft“, die Erarbeitung eines allgemeingültigen europäischen Referenzrahmens für politischen Bildung“ sowie auf den Aufbau eines Netzwerks zum Zwecke der Gründung eines „Europäischen Kompetenzzentrums für Civic Education“. |
| Descrizione [en] | Civic-Edu is a bilateral initiative to promote democratic awareness and pan-European thinking. The project is run by a team of Austrian and Hungarian researchers, headed by Michael Stanzer, the founder of the Civic Education Foundation in Budapest, a civic educationalist who has initiated several activities in the field of civic education and cultural studies. His research activities focus on racism and xenophobia, the history of migration, life-long learning, social competence, educational development, brain research and civic education, democracy and pedagogy. Civic education encompasses lifelong, social and multicultural learning. It is to empower people to understand social structures, in particular their actual background and interrelations. Civic education wants to overcome preconceived ideas, it supports human rights and nature conservation, promotes the cause of disadvantaged members of society and aims at bringing about a fair and sound peace. Civic education is an integrative principle of instruction at Austrian schools that is to empower pupils to self-reliant and responsible political action so as to be able to participate in shaping society. Some 40 authors and researchers from Austria, Hungary and Germany make regular online contributions in the following categories: politics and society (Austria, Hungary, Europe, global village, environment and social policy, religion and ethics), culture and education (history and cultural studies, lifelong learning, philosophy and psychology, language and literature, art and architecture, philosophy and research of science), intercultural learning (minorities and majorities, social learning and social skills, civil society, NGOs and gender studies) as well as Young Civic (civic education of children and adolescents). The creation of the European Foundation for Civic Education on 13 June 2006 has slightly changed the original concept of the Austro-Hungarian education server. A team consisting of experts in the UK, Germany, Austria and Hungary is planning to initiate a pan-European project on culture design and peace education. Its major concerns are to implement the latest findings from research and science in civic education all over Europe, to cooperate with experts and educationalists, and to organise exhibitions (e.g. "All related, all different") and training events, focusing on the development of an open society, the elaboration of a common European frame of reference for civic education, and the development of a network for the purpose of setting up a European Competence Centre for Civic Education. |
