| Beschreibung [en] | Homepage of the E-9 initiative, a UNESCO activity that is connected to the ‘Education for All‘ programme, EFA, developed to shed light on the educational problems of nine very densely populated countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria and Pakistan. From this site it is possible to access statistical data on how many people are attending school on different school levels, and on social status and geographical location of pupils and students etc. The different countries are assessed in relation to EFA and there are links to the Ministry of Education of the countries and to information on the local UNESCO offices. Finally a number of full text publications on the subject are available |
